Community Guidelines

Charcha spaces are for people who choose to organize life together. Family spaces, friends groups, and personal spaces should remain respectful, safe, and intentional.

Share with consent

Only add people to a space when you have the authority and expectation to do so. Do not share another person's documents, contact details, health information, photos, location, or private notes without their permission.

Keep it respectful

Do not use Charcha to threaten, harass, shame, impersonate, discriminate against, or repeatedly contact someone who does not want to hear from you.

Use shared tools responsibly

Shared contacts, WhatsApp reminders, shopping lists, documents, and recommendations must not be used for spam, scams, unlawful activity, or commercial solicitation. Review reminders before sending them to cooks, helpers, or other service people.

Protect children and sensitive content

Adults managing a household are responsible for child profiles and should avoid storing unnecessary sensitive information. Do not upload sexual content involving minors, exploitative content, or any content that is illegal to possess or share.

Report a concern

Use the flag action on a shared note or save to report it in the app. You can also block a person from Safety & blocked members; their shared notes and saves will no longer appear for you. Reports enter a review queue for the Charcha team. For urgent or inaccessible-app reports, contact support@charcha.co.in. Do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive documents by email.
